Aims & Mission

"O our Lord! Make us of Muslims, obedient to You and make out of our descendants a community, obedient to You; and show us the ways of Your worship; and turn unto us (in Mercy); for You are oft-Returning, Most Merciful."

Mission

The mission of the school is to provide a broad and balanced education which is consistent with legal requirements integrated with a good quality education within an Islamic ethos that allows students to develop a love for their faith and a lifelong desire for learning, Insha Allah.

Aims of Al-Hijrah Primary School

Al-Hijrah Primary School has five main aims. These are to enable young children to become:

  • Dedicated Muslims;
  • Confident, happy individuals;
  • Successful, independent learners;
  • Resposnible citizens and;
  • Effective contributors.

We hope to achieve this by adopting the schools Mission Statement and by implementing the following:

  • Creating a stimulating, safe and secure environment where all members of the school community can work to their full potential, feel valued and respected regardless of race, colour, disability or gender;
  • Nurturing in students a tolerance of opinions, values and attributes whcih are different from their own;
  • Enabling students to realise their full intellectual and physical potential;
  • Taking account of learning needs of each child and to provide a learning environment to ensure the highest possible standard of achievement.
  • Promoting the growth of Islamic values including relationships based on tolerance, consideration and open mindedness;
  • Developing in students a knowledge and understanding of themselves, intellectually, personally and socially;
  • Developing in students the ability to take responsibilty for themselves, appropriate to their age;
  • Developing in children an understanding of their role in society and encourage them to take responsibility for the impact they have on their environment;
  • Equipping the children with foundation skills attitudes and expectations necessary to prosper in a changing society and to encourage creativity and ambition;
  • Developing effective liaison with parents, external agencies and the local community.
